Countdown: The Numbers Round

About the Game

Six tiles are dealt from a pool of big numbers (25, 50, 75, 100) and small numbers (1–10). A random three-digit target appears on the board. Players have to reach it using only + − × ÷, each tile at most once, with every step landing on a whole number above zero — no fractions, no negatives. Exact hits score 10 points, landing within 5 scores 7. It's a deceptively simple format that builds serious mental arithmetic fluency, number sense, and order-of-operations reasoning under pressure.
